The
congregation approved a $250,000 addition to the south side of the church.
It includes an enlarged narthex, pastor's office, secretaries
office, handicapped restrooms, and a preparation room for such things
as communion. Mission Builders, a group from the ELCA assisted us in
the building project.
A basement will
be included in the project and will be completed at a later time, but
will allow us to look at space for the quilters,
food pantry and Sunday school space. The goal is to
follow up this project with a fellowship hall and enlarged kitchen.
2006 has arrived
and we are enjoying being able to use the new and expanded narthex.
As always there are still projects that need to be completed and volunteers
continue to finish those small and somewhat unnoticed projects. The
landscaping was started prior to cold weather and will be completed
this spring. A committee will be assessing the utilization of the basement
and how that area can be finished as funds become available.
The Bud and Charlotte
Mackey estate left the church with approxmately $5500 towards the elevator.
The cost of the elevator will run between $20,000-$25,000 to purchase
and install the elevator. Your donations will be needed to complete
this project.
This spring and
summer your assistance will be needed as we finish painting the church,
shingling the garage, cleaning and painting the inside of the parsonage.
Your time, talents
and financial support is still needed!
We have enjoyed
the expanded space from the first phase of the building project. Please
join us as we work together to complete the other phases of the project.

O
Lord our God, in you every good work has its beginning. Grant that what
we have undertaken this day to the glory of your name may be successfully
completed to the good of all your people; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
